Loire chateaus, an exceptional heritage
Loire chateaus have been mainly built during the French renaissance period (XVe-XVIes.) ; at this moment, the French kings were staying in Loire valley, moving from a chateau to another, every 3-4 moths. Mainly built with Tuffeau stone, these castles are a real tresor for this French area also called "the France Garden" because of its wonderfull and numerous large gardens.
The chateaus' building has led to local caves occurence, called "troglodytic" caves which also can be visited.
